Tips for Creating a Secure Password
It is always important to create a secure password that is hard for others to guess. Here are some tips to creating secure passwords.
NO Sharing
- Do not share your password with anyone, even someone who claims to work for Tams11 Software.
Length
- Passwords should be 6 to 8 characters long.
Mixed
- Passwords should contain both letters and numbers.
NO Colon
- Passwords should NOT contain colons.
NO Real Words
- Passwords should NOT be real words spelled either forwards or backwards especially words found in dictionaries such as English, medical, etc.
NO Personal Links
- Passwords should NOT contain any personal information like license plate, age, birthday, pet's name, etc spelled forwards your backwards.
NO Names
- Passwords should NOT contain any part of your username spelled forwards or backwards.
NO Saving
- Using "Save Password" features can be risky. Type your password in manually each time.
